GE Appliances’ 2025 Blue Wave Engages Volunteers Nationwide

Oct 17th 2025

GE Appliances, a Haier company, sets a new volunteer record as nearly 1,000 employees unite to support local communities across the United States.

GE Appliances, headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, mobilized nearly 1,000 employee volunteers across the country on Friday for its 2025 Blue Wave, the company’s signature day of service.

Partnering with local nonprofits, employees from GE Appliances offices, manufacturing plants, and field locations joined forces to complete community projects that fight food insecurity, enhance public spaces, and expand educational opportunities—setting a new company record for engagement and reaffirming GE Appliances’ deep commitment to U.S. communities.

This year’s Blue Wave projects reflect the breadth of employee passions and local priorities, including:

Fighting Food Insecurity: Serving at food pantries; delivering meals; building shelves; and improving distribution processes.

Beautifying Shared Spaces: Environmental clean-ups and landscaping at public parks, trails, and beaches.

Expanding Access and Inclusion: Adapting mechanical toys for children with physical limitations to support therapeutic play and learning.

Inspiring Future Makers: Refreshing the local museums and schools with paint, deep cleaning, and training teachers and staff on innovative maker projects that teach children the basics of “making” and STEM education.
