New family kitchen created to be the 'heart of our home.'
GE Appliances (GEA) wants to help make life a little easier for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) of Cincinnati. In a newly completed renovation project at the house, GEA provided appliances for the expanded kitchen so that families staying there can have a beautiful space to create healthy meals.
The recent expansion for the Ronald McDonald House, which serves as a home away from home and source of comfort for families who travel to Cincinnati to get medical care for their critically ill children, allows RMH to serve even more families and makes it the largest of the 376 Ronald McDonald Houses around the world.
As part of the project, GEA outfitted the new kitchen with GE and Monogram appliances and installed refrigerators in family rooms and lounges.
"This new family kitchen is going to be the heart of our home," said Kristen Klein of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati. "We absolutely could not have made this family kitchen without GE Appliances. This gift is incredible and enables us to serve thousands of families every year and make their life a little bit easier while they're here."
GEA has also previously supported the Ronald McDonald House in its hometown of Louisville. Check out the video below for a look inside RMH Cincinnati and its new family kitchen space.
