Meet Scott Samples, a 13-year employee at Roper Corporation in LaFayette, Georgia. Scott started his career on the assembly line as an operator, building ranges, cooktops and wall ovens. Since then, he has held a variety of roles within the plant, from area business leader to materials and as a Kaizen Promotion Officer (KPO) implementing Lean manufacturing practices. He also earned a degree in business through Roper's tuition reimbursement program. Today, Scott is responsible for implementing mobile robotics projects throughout Roper's operations, making the plant safer and our jobs better. He is currently focused on how mobile robots can support the startup of the plant's new assembly lines, the result of GE Appliances' $118 million investment into a lineup of new ranges.
