The Edison program provides you with three years of deep industry experience solving real world problems across five different roles - all while you learn from the best in the business and earn your Master’s degree on us. It’s leadership development like you haven’t seen before.

You'll be a full-time employee and part-time student.

EEDP is a 3-year program where you are a paid full-time employee receiving industry-leading training and opportunities, and a part-time student earning your Master’s degree paid for by GE Appliances (2-year program if you already have a Master’s degree).

The rotation-based program provides a broad range of work experiences in multiple product lines to help you find your groove. You’ll have opportunities to learn a wide variety of engineering and choose your learning path.

The program provides a lot of exposure to leaders across the business in virtually every product line and discipline. Leadership seminars included in the program provide even broader opportunities for connecting across the development program members and leaders beyond Technology. All of this happens in a tight-knit community of diverse Edisons and supporting professionals so you’ll never be alone on the journey.

A Rich History

The Edison program started with GE Corporate in 1923 and was started at GE Appliances in 1975. You know you’ve found a strong engineer when you find an Edison.
