New Product Introduction

Sourced Products

Collaborate with a team to develop products made outside of Appliance Park. This role requires a diverse skillset, including project management, communication, and collaboration with global teams and suppliers.

FirstBuild

Experience our unique microfactory, makerspace, and online community. A co-op here is hands-on and build-oriented, requiring creativity and some relevant experience to maximize this exciting opportunity.

Software Development

Develop the code and apps for the next generation of smart, energy-efficient appliances. Work on apps that improve the user experience and create connected homes, using the latest software development techniques like Agile, TDD, Continuous Integration, and Testing Automation. Push the boundaries of innovation and deliver high-quality code.

Hardware Development

Imagine developing the hardware that powers user interfaces, mainboards, power supplies, and motor controls – the brains behind appliances that are both user-friendly and energy-efficient. That's the kind of work you could be doing!  This co-op opportunity will give you hands-on experience in electronic design, expanding your knowledge and skills in a real-world setting.  

Your Co-op Experience Beyond the Job

Your co-op at GE Appliances is about more than just work – it's about building connections and having fun! Our co-ops are a tight-knit community, actively participating in a wide range of social activities each semester. 

Explore Louisville with your new friends! From amazing restaurants to exciting attractions, our co-ops know the best spots in the city. Get involved in group sports like basketball, soccer, volleyball, or rock climbing. Join picnics, community service projects, and tons of other activities. Whatever you're into, there's likely a group doing it, and you're welcome to join! 

Relocating to Louisville? We make it easy! We offer housing options, including fully furnished apartments, to ensure a smooth transition. Plus, we have our own employee rideshare app to help you get to and from work hassle-free. 

But Wait, There’s More! ​

 GE Appliances has its Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) for exceptional co-ops who want to continue their careers with us. This three-year, rotation based program provides in-depth engineering learning across our product lines and different role types as you earn your Master’s degree. You’ll be working full time as a paid engineer in a highly visible role and we pay for your degree along the way.  

For those leaning more into manufacturing, we also have the Applied Engineering Development Program (AEDP). This two-year, rotational program offers four experiences where design meets the factory, with roles in both product design and manufacturing. You’ll be a full time engineer right where the action is every day. We also provide relevant classes that enhance your knowledge and expertise along the way.
